OPERAS France: promoting multilingual open science in humanities and social sciences

OPERAS France is participating in Open Access Week 2025!

Join @PierreMounier (Co-coordinator of OPERAS/EDCH), Karla Avanço (Capacity Building Manager, OPERAS) and Marina Cortés (Community Manager of the French node) for a discussion on the appropriation of open knowledge through multilingualism.

This discussion will give you an overview, through the experience of OPERAS Research Infrastructure, of the history of initiatives in favour of multilingualism in open science, as well as the different ways in which the French community practices multilingualism in open science, such as:

  • Through translation groups formed by volunteer members
  • Through open communication between members
  • Through feedback on activities carried out, which enables new initiatives to be set up that are adapted to the needs expressed

The French community keeps the OPERAS-FR node alive and ensures that all stakeholders in open science are heard.

See you on Friday 24 October at 14:00 to continue putting France on the open access map!

I am very sorry that I will be in class at this time. If there will be a recording, I would be very happy to watch it.

Hello Ben, I believe the webinar did not take place and has been cancelled. We will keep you informed if a new date is announced!
