Next Single-Source Publishing Meetup

Dear Single-Source Publishing Enthusiasts,

we are happy to invite you to the second meetup of the revived Single-Source Publishing Community on Wednesday, May 27 at 15:00 Europe/Berlin (UTC+2).

This month, we want to focus on the expectations and wishes of our members, discuss methods to contribute, and see how we can ensure that everybody can get the most out of their time in the community.

The meeting link is available via our calendar file at https://singlesource.pub/community.ics and is also listed in the event description below.

The preliminary agenda can be found here:

That document is editable for everybody; please feel free to add your notes.

As mentioned before, we want to provide space for those of you who want to present their existing Single-Source Publishing Workflows, so others that are looking for help implementing workflows can benefit.

In this meeting, we’d like to discuss the ways that we envisage for such workflow presentations.

We created a first draft for guidelines that should help to describe your Single-Source Publishing Workflow, focusing on answering questions other might have. We hope that we, the community, can build an archive of workflows that will be open to everybody.

Best,
Ronald Steffen and Albert Krewinkel

A first workflow following the guide linked above, created with the help of Daniel S. Katz

Single-Source Publishing Workflow of the Journal of Open Source Software

Does this cover all interesting points? What would make it more useful?

Thanks again to anybody who attended today’s meeting. It was great to get feedback on the Workflow Guidelines, and we’ll improve it accordingly.

Looking forward to seeing everybody again on June 24.

PS: I apologize for getting nerd sniped today
