The next OASPA Wayfinders webinar will distill library perspectives on supporting non-author-fee models for open access (OA). The conversation will unpack questions geared towards practical help for libraries and publishing organisations, such as:

  • How do libraries choose which OA titles and programs to support?
  • What do libraries investing in models of OA that do not charge author-facing fees most need and want to know in order to lend their financial support?
  • In a time of shrinking budgets and instability, what motivates libraries to find funding for these types of approaches to OA?
  • What challenges do libraries need to overcome in supporting such OA programmes, across all content types?

The session will be chaired by Malavika Legge of OASPA along with speakers: Robin Sinn, Sarah Thompson and Jack Hyland. This panel welcomes your questions and participation about library evaluations of OA. This is a free webinar, all are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
