Do you include requirements/recommendations on the availability of research protocols and methods in your Diamond OA journal policies and guidelines for authors?
And how do you implement these encouragements/requirements? Where do you make the relevant connections between articles and other research outputs using persistent identifiers?
Do you also encourage the use of free/open source software?
And do you have a policy on the availability of research software and ask your authors for a statement of software availability?
How do you manage software citations - in the same way as citations of other research products, such as publications and data by including them in the reference list of a journal article?
DIAMAS project created guidelines on the Availability of research protocols, methods and software describing measures to ensure that all research protocols, methods, and software are publicly available, accessible, and reproducible. Do you find these guidelines useful? Would you like to see anything else covered there?
Thank you!
