# Webinar on April 21: Journal policies on Artificial Intelligence

_ **What are the implications of generative AI technologies on scholarly publishing? How can and how should editors respond to these technical developments?** _

_The Norwegian network on diamond publishing_ has the pleasure of inviting journal editors—and everyone else with an interest in the topic—to a webinar where we look at some examples of journal AI policies. The webinar will take place on Tuesday 21 April, 13:00–14:00 CEST.

Matt Hodgkinson from the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) will guide us through [DOAJ’s recommendation on AI policies](https://doaj.org/apply/guide/#artificial-intelligence-ai-and-automated-tools) .

Then Holger Pötzsch, co-editor-in-chief of [Eludamos](https://septentrio.uit.no/index.php/eludamos/index), and Leticia Antunes Nogueira, managing editor of [LIBER Quarterly](https://liberquarterly.eu/), will talk about how they implemented AI policies in their journals and talk about their experiences as journal editors in the time of A I.

We welcome participation and you will have the opportunity to ask questions during the event! Before coming to the webinar, we recommend that you read through [DOAJ’s recommendation on AI policies](https://doaj.org/apply/guide/#artificial-intelligence-ai-and-automated-tools), and the AI policies of [Eludamos](https://septentrio.uit.no/index.php/eludamos/about) and [LIBER Quarterly](https://liberquarterly.eu/Research-integrity).

The webinar will be in English and it will not be recorded.
