**Open Research Europe is looking for 20 researchers** who are interested in helping support the strategic development, direction, and integrity of the platform **to join their Scientific Advisory Board.**

To be established by September 2026, the SAB will support the governance, strategic development, and integrity of ORE from the official launch of its new phase (autumn 2026) onwards. Its responsibilities include:

- Advising the Funders’ Group, the Executive Committee, and the Operating Organisation (CERN) on scientific matters related to the **publishing services and its policies** (e.g. author guidelines), as well as on **ethical guidelines and the peer review process.**
- Advising the Funders’ Group, Executive Committee, and Operating Organisation on **strategic aspects** of the platform, including its future direction, sustainability, potential new services, and opportunities for collaboration.
- Reviewing and providing advice on **misconduct cases and transparency issues.**

While ORE cannot yet be considered a Diamond Platform, it is progressing towards a Diamond Open Access model. In its new phase to be launched in autumn 2026, eligibility criteria is to expand to all researchers affiliated in a country of one of the 16 funding organisations.

Researchers with experience in scholarly publishing, research assessment and committed to Open Science are encouraged to consider applying. **They are particularly interested in hearing from researchers in the Humanities and Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences fields** to ensure all research disciplines are represented.
